I absolutely love this dress!
7.26.2010
My wish came true!
The Anna Sui wrap dress is in my closet and I didn't die making it! The whole process was so much easier than I originally thought it would be. Granted it did have a million pieces (24), narrow hems everywhere, pleats, ruffles, and is fully lined. Can I also just say chiffon is intense? Without further adieu...
I absolutely love this dress!
The reason behind my sudden dress making confidence was due to my mom's visit. She was here for just about two weeks and I finally worked up the nerve to just make the darn thing knowing she'd help me whenever I needed it. I was worried about my fabric choice when I first tried it on but I'm so happy with it! Now all I need is a wedding or fancy dinner to go to!
I absolutely love this dress!

ReplyDeletethis is so awesome. did you use a serger or are you just that patient? i want to try this but i have to admit that i am really scared of slippery fabrics. well done.
ReplyDeleteps just wanted to let you know that you are my new favorite blog. not only do you have great style, but you also live in chicago.
No serger! It took a million years to pin the curves and sewing was super nerve-wracking but I managed to finish it. It's still hard to believe this was my 2nd dress ever.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for your sweet comments! I love your blog too :D
