Alas, Tom (who left the recipe above and who happens to be my husband!) doesn't love seafood, so we don't actually eat very much of it. He'll usually make me a vegetarian version of whatever he's having (e.g., chili made with veggie crumbles or cheese quesadillas instead of ones w/ Carolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04331234272211632054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147797120214732529.post-29203151450322139662013-10-10T14:52:24.011-05:002013-10-10T14:52:24.011-05:00Yikes! I would have never thought to add in maple syrup but it sounds delicious.

I definitely recommend the cornbread bake, we'll probably be eating it weekly during Chicago's winter months. And sweet potato cookies? I definitely need to look that up!Hippopotamusleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07575130872136118427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147797120214732529.post-50762321026246691412013-10-10T14:36:03.300-05:002013-10-10T14:36:03.300-05:00OMG, same! I have to admit I'm not actually a vegetarian though, I still totally eat seafood so that's usually our happy medium. Often we skip it altogether and go full-on vegetarian. Let your husband know the monster meat dish is SUPER good, the veggie broth and fake meat substitute combined with the heartiness of everything elseHippopotamusleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07575130872136118427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147797120214732529.post-20230021699821735372013-10-10T10:16:52.672-05:002013-10-10T10:16:52.672-05:00Thanks for the recipe. I think this would be a great dish to make on the same day.

Oh, and here's my recipe for cornbread. He's used them in a lot of soups and stuff, and they're delicious! I sent him the link to this post because I think the veggie version of the Monster Meat Cornbread Bake looks delicious! I just googled it and it looks delicious (and easy to veg up). I also just checked your recipe tag to see if you had one posted yourself lol! The lentils were good and so filling!
